The Philippine Consulate General announced the arrival in Hong Kong of a new welfare officer of the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration in Hong Kong.
WelOf Marilou M. Sumalinog replaces Virsie B. Tamayao, who was recalled to the Home Office on December 31 last year, and is now Director of OWWA Region 2.
She will serve alongside fellow WelOf Dina Daquigan.

Consul General Raly Tejada led the group of officers
who welcomed Sumalinog to Hong Kong, and said he “wished her success as she
takes on the challenge of protecting the rights and promoting the welfare of
more than 230,000 πΎπbππππ¦πππ
in Hong Kong.”
He was accompanied in welcoming Sumalinog by Labor
Attache Mel Dizon, who as head of the Migrant Workers Office in Hong Kong,
serves under the Consulate under the One Country Team Approach.
