The luxury estate in Pokfulam where the Filipina had jumped to her death |
A 55-year-old Filipina domestic helper who reportedly
had marital problems was declared dead at Queen Mary Hospital in Pokfulam yesterday,
May 29, where she was taken after falling from a high-rise flat in Chi Fu Fa
Yuen.
The police said they received a report at about
7:30am on the same day from a security guard at Yar Chee Villas who saw the
woman slumped face-down among flower beds on the ground of the estate.
Police and rescuers rushed to the scene and took the
unconscious woman to Queen Mary Hospital where she was declared dead.
A spokesperson from the Police said their initial
findings showed the Filipina had jumped from a flat where she was employed as a
domestic helper.
No suicide note was found, but the police spokesperson
said their investigation showed the woman had problems with her husband in the
Philippines.
