Three Filipinos in their 20s are still being detained by the police after they were arrested on suspicion of drug possession.
The three, two males and
one female aged between 22 and 23, were flagged after police noticed that the
car they were riding at the intersection of Texico Road North and Tsuen Kam
Interchange in Tsuen Wan did not have its headlights on.

Police say the
22-year-old male at the wheel was using a mobile phone while driving.
When stopped, the driver
and his passengers, a 23-year-old male and 22-year-old female looked nervous
and agitated, prompting officers to investigate further.

A search yielded two
grams of suspected marijuana in the left rear passenger of the car and a
marijuana grinder near the front of the vehicle.
The drugs were estimated
to be worth $300.

A further search with
the use of drug-sniffing dogs did not reveal any more drugs.
A police spokeswoman said all three are
Filipino citizens with Hong Kong ID cards, but with Chinese-sounding surnames.
No charges have been laid pending further inquiries.
