Macau will go back to being a mask-free place from tomorrow |
From tomorrow, Feb 27, Macau will allow people to go around in public without a mask, except when taking public transportation (but not taxis) or visiting hospitals and homes for the elderly.
Those managing indoor
public venues such as malls are allowed to use their discretion in deciding
whether to still require people who enter to wear masks.

In announcing the
lifting of the remaining pandemic restriction, the Macau government said the "epidemic situation in Macau has continuously remained
stable over the last two months".

The statement said the indoor masking requirement may still
be adjusted again according to the actual Covid-19 situation.
Officials also say that supervisors of indoor venues may decide whether to require masks, taking into account factors such as air circulation, crowd density and the activities taking place.
