The accused appeared with a local man in Eastern Court today |
A 29-year-old Filipino waiter who is facing 22 counts
of various sexual offences against a child under 16 years old, indicated at
Eastern Court earlier today, Monday, that he will plead guilty to the charges.
The most serious charges against the accused,
identified only as A.J.B.D. (this is usually done in sexual offences to protect the
identity of the victim), are two counts of non-consensual buggery with X, the
under-aged victim, both on Aug. 10, 2020, in a flat in Mong Kok.
Under
section 118A of the Crimes Ordinance, the maximum penalty that could be imposed
for this offence is life imprisonment, the same punishment prescribed for rape.
PINDUTIN PARA SA DETALYE |
The
other charges against him are:
-
- 10 counts of indecent conduct towards the underaged victim, contrary
to section 146(1) of the Crimes Ordinance;
-
- eight of making child pornography, contrary to section 3(1) of
the Prevention of Child Pornography Ordinance;
PINDUTIN PARA SA DETALYE |
- -
one of attempting to procure his co-defendant Hung Sze Ho to commit homosexual buggery
contrary to section 118(G) and 159(G) of the Crimes Ordinance;
- - and one for indecent assault on the underaged victim, contrary to
section 122(1) of the Crimes Ordinance.
A.J.B.D, who is in custody, appeared alongside Hung, a
33-year-old unemployed local man, who faces two separate but related charges.
BASAHIN ANG DETALYE |
Hung,
who is out on $10,000 bail, said through his lawyer that he will plead not
guilty to the charges of committing an act of gross indecency – and buggery - with
X on Aug 8, 2020, in a flat in Mong Kok.
The
first defendant was returned to custody until the next hearing date on Jan 30
next year, prior to the committal of the case to the High Court. Hung’s bail
was extended on the same terms.
