He reportedly sustained abrasions on his mouth and nose, and some of his teeth were loosened, but he did not appear to have suffered any major injuries.

The incident was reported to the police at 5:20pm, just
seven minutes before they were called to attend to a drunk Filipina domestic
worker who fell head first on the pavement in nearby
A police spokesman said investigations showed the
35-year-old Filipino man had run onto the busy street from the westbound lane,
and was struck by a bus as it approached the junction with

“The person suddenly ran onto the street and was hit by a bus,” the spokesperson said.
“He smelled of alcohol and was injured, but was in a conscious state.”
There are no records of the bus driver being arrested, police say |
The 31-year-old male bus driver was questioned at the scene, but the police say there is no report of him being arrested.

Unconfirmed reports from several Filipinos who could be heard talking over some videos of the incident which were posted live on Facebook said the man had been drinking with friends, apparently from one of the alleys on the other side of the road.

One Filipina in the crowd could be heard saying she was among those who had been drinking with the man.
Another said the man had bumped into her before dashing across the road. She then heard a loud thud and the next thing she knew, the man was already sprawled on the street.

The videos showed the man was conscious and had moved while medics were preparing to put him in an ambulance. At one point, kibitzers said he vomited blood.
