Two Filipino male residents who flew in recently from Manila
on the same Cathay Pacific flight and a female teenager who arrived from
Kyrgyzstan on Friday were reported as Hong Kong’s newest coronavirus patients
today, Oct 17.
The Centre for Health Protection said the three, who were
all asymptomatic, all had the L452R mutant strain. They took the number of
cases to 12,295 in

There are five preliminary positive cases today, a government information officer said.
The two Filipinos who both arrived on Oct 13 on a CX906 flight were a 63-year-old man who checked in at Regal Airport Hotel in Chek Lap Kok, and a 47-year-old man who stayed at Ramada Hong Kong Harbour View in Sai Ying Pun.

The unvaccinated female patient, aged 17, arrived on an
OZ721 flight on Oct 15, submitted her specimen upon arrival at the Temporary
Specimen Collection Centre at

A total of 65 cases have been reported in the past 14 days ending Oct 16, including a local case with unknown sources. The rest were imported cases.
