A Filipina domestic helper who arrived in Hong Kong
aboard a Cebu Pacific Airline flight from Manila is the lone confirmed case of
Covid-19 today, Sept. 4.
According to staff at the Department of Health, the 45-year-old Filipina arrived on Sept. 2, a day before Cebu Pacific was suspended from flying from Manila for two weeks after four of its passengers tested positive on arrival in Hong Kong.

The latest confirmed case was also found to carry the L452R variant of the coronavirus, like the four previous passengers from Manila.
She was fully jabbed with the Sinovac vaccine in the Philippines on Jul 5 and Aug 2.

A total of 68 cases have been reported in the past 14 days until Sept 3, and all of them are imported cases.
Hong Kong’s total Covid-19 tally now stands at 12,119.

Meanwhile, Cebu Pacific has advised its passengers booked on flights from Hong Kong to Manila that there will be no flight cancellations, despite the suspension of its inbound flights.

One FDH worried about her flight to Manila this Sunday, Sept 5, was told this in an advisory. Cebu Pac said its HK to Manila "will proceed as scheduled."
