All but one of the 5 new imported cases tested positive at HK airport |
The
Centre for Health Protection reported 15 new Covid-19 cases, five of them
imported, in a press release issued today, Feb 20.
The imported cases include a 28-year-old Filipina domestic worker who tested positive on arrival at Hong Kong airport. The others are three returning residents who were all found infected on arrival, and a returnee from India who tested positive while in hotel quarantine.

The latest cases raised Hong Kong’s total number of infections to 10,848.
Of the 10 local cases, four have unknown sources while the remaining six are linked to previous infections.

The first case with unknown sources involves a 70-year-old female retiree who developed cough and chill on Feb 13 but only sought medical attention at an outpatient clinic on Feb 17. She tested positive the next day.
The second is a 29-year-old man who developed loss of taste on Feb 11 and sought medical attention a week later. He is a taxi driver and last went to work when he started developing symptoms.

The third case is a 42-year-old private doctor who was reported as preliminary positive yesterday. He was asymptomatic and last went to work on February 18.
The fourth case with unknown source is a 51-year-old housewife who was found
positive at a community testing centre on Feb 17.

The CHP reminded those who live in, or visited, specified venues that have been put under compulsory testing notice to comply with the order. Anybody who develops symptoms is urged to seek medical attention.

Everybody is also enjoined to avoid going out or dining out, and to wear a surgical mask if they have to. The elderly are asked to stay home as far as possible and consider asking family members for help with shopping for basic necessities.
