It's not clear when the Labour Tribunal will reopen after being shut today due to a cleaner testing positive for Covid-19 |
A contractor cleaner at the Labour Tribunal has tested
positive for coronavirus infection, prompting the Judiciary to adjourn from
today, Jul 16, all hearings and close the court indefinitely for cleansing and
disinfection.
The Judiciary said it was notified by the Centre for Health
Protection about the infected contractor cleaner at the Tribunal on Jul 15.
The Tribunal, including the registry, will remain closed
until further notice, the judiciary announced on its website.
However, most disinfections last only for just a day or two,
so it is not likely the closure will last until next week.

The Tribunal, along with most courts, were closed after Chinese New Year in late January in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak, and reopened gradually only in late March.
