A 29-year-old Filipino musician who sings with a band
in Lan Kwai Fong has tested positive for the coronavirus disease, Covid-19, the
sixth case and first Filipino non-domestic worker to have been infected in Hong
Kong.
A bulletin issued by the Philippine Consulate just a
few minutes ago this afternoon of Mar 23, said three (edited as of 5:30pm) other Filipinos have tested
positive for Covid-19 within the past 24 hours, making the total cases to 10.
Six are in hospitals, while the four others had been released after recovering.

No additional information on the three new cases have yet been made
available.
The Consulate says it is extending all necessary
assistance to the patients.
The musician who colleagues say had sung for the
popular nightspot Insomnia, was among the 44 new cases listed by the Centre for
Health Protection yesterday.

He reportedly started running a fever, and had cough
and sore throat, on Mar 17. He did not travel within the 14-day incubation
period.
The Wanchai resident is now confined at Caritas Medical
Centre in Shamshuipo, Kowloon.
His case was among four linked yesterday to the
popular night spot in Central, prompting government officials to look more
closely into a call to close down bars, restaurants and even gyms in the area.
More than 10 cases have been linked to Lan Kwai Fong
in less than a week, including a young female journalist who caused two offices
of the SCMP to be shut down after she was found infected on Mar 18.
